As many of you know, I was in a near-fatal car accident in 2014 which left me paralyzed. This traumatic experience shook us at the core – so much so, that my family and I are still recovering from the after shocks. Although we work through daily challenges, our faith in God has never waivered.
I believe God spared my life (on many occassions) for his glory and purpose. In my human nature I must admit that some days are harder than others to cope. On days like this I am reminded of this biblical passage:
“I have told you these things, so that in me you may have peace. In this world you will have trouble. But take heart! I have overcome the world.”
John 16:33 NNIV
Aside from Psalm 91, this is definitely one of my favorite scriptures – especially when I have to encourage myself in the Lord. Come what may, none of my problems/issues/challenges/circstances/needs are too much for my sovereign Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.
No matter what storms you may be facing right now, please know that God is truly able to handle ANYTHING! I pray that everyone reading this post will be blessed with serenity to persevere and blessed with the assurance of salvation in Christ Jesus.
